Decision details

Purpose of the report is to update members on the tenders received for the Access York Phase 1 project and asked for authority to submit the Full Approval application to the Department for Transport.

Members are asked to approve the submission of the Full Approved application to the Department for Transport and progress the scheme if the funding is confirmed.

RESOLVED:      That Cabinet agree to approve the following in relation to this scheme:

i)             Submission of the Full Approval Application to the Department for Transport.

ii)            An increase in the local contribution to the scheme of up to £750k from the Economic Infrastructure Fund and a re-profile of the Capital Programme where necessary.

iii)          Commencement of advance site clearance.

iv)          Commencement of advance utility diversions.

v)           Delegation of the acceptance of the Most Economically Advantageous Tender to the Director of City and Environmental Services in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Transport, Planning and Sustainability.

REASON:           To enable the delivery of the Access York project to programme.
