Purpose:
Purpose of Report: This report will summarise
the new governing body constitutional arrangements which take
effect from September 2012 under the School Governance
(Constitution) (England) Regulations 2012. It will set out
proposals for the recruitment, approval, nomination and appointment
of LA governors.
The Cabinet Member will be asked to agree the procedure for
recruitment, approval, nomination and appointment of LA
governors.
Decision:
RESOLVED: That the new arrangements for the identification
and appointment of Local Authority governors be approved.
REASON: To ensure places on school governing bodies continue to be quickly and effectively filled.
