Background
This property is located within a residential street just off Clifton and directly adjoins St Peter’s School at the rear. It comprises a large two storey detached house built c.1920.

Until late 2019, the property was being used as accommodation for health assessment and care residents. It was vacated, due to it being no longer being suitable for operational use. The residents were moved to a refurbished property in Clifton.

A decision to dispose of the property on the open market was taken by Executive on 18th July 2024, delegating the decision to the Director of Finance in consultation with the Director of Governance.

The adjacent property is also owned by the Council, used operationally, and does not form part of the sale.

The property has been marketed by residential agents, bids assessed, and legal contract documentation entered into between the Council as vendors and the purchasers.

A sale has been agreed for an undisclosed sum.

Decision:

That the property be sold in line with the previous Executive decision.
