Honorary Freedom of the City Councillor Rowley will move the following motion:
Councillor Douglas will second the motion
The motion will be put. Minutes: The Lord Mayor declared that the purpose of the meeting under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, was to confer the title of Honorary Freedom of the City upon Ken Cooke.
It was then moved by Councillor Rowley and seconded by Councillor Douglas:
“That pursuant to its powers under Section 249(1) of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council do confer the title of Honorary Freedom of the City upon:
Ken Cooke, in formal recognition of his exceptional services to the people and City of York.”
The motion was put to the vote and it was
Resolved (unanimously): That the above motion be approved and that a Civic Ceremony be arranged at an appropriate time. |
