Outside body

Local Government North Yorkshire and York is a meeting of the local authority leaders and National Park representatives.  It has been established to promote effective working in the area and to provide sub-regional representation at national levels.  Planning and transport issues which are of mutual interest and importance are discussed and addressed at the Spatial Planning and Transport Board.

The position has to be occupied by the Executive Member for Transport.
