Purpose:

This Group is currently in abeyance.  The Menwith Hill Forum was an independent body made up of local Councils, local elected representatives (councillors, MPs, MEPs) from all major political parties, relevant peace groups, trade unions and concerned local citizens.  It sought a transparency in the operation of the American surveillance station at Menwith Hill, full accountability of the base under the legitimate local concerns of its members.
