The Guildhall – Detailed Designs and Business Case

 

 

Purpose of Report: To present Members with the detailed design, project costs and lease /financing proposals to secure the future of complex, through the delivery of a scheme of refurbishment and part redevelopment of Guildhall complex. This will facilitate ongoing council use as agreed, the creation of a business club and serviced office venue and associated cafe / restaurant units.

Members will be asked to approve the proposals, submission of planning and listed building consent applications and the proposed financing arrangements necessary to deliver the scheme.

This report was considered by Corporate and Scrutiny Management Policy and Scrutiny Committee on 13 June at the request of Group Leaders prior to its consideration by Executive on 14 July.
