Proposal to stop the Golden Goodbye Scheme

Purpose of Report: The council currently have an incentive scheme for tenants to give notice when ending their tenancy and leave the property in good order and with no arrears. The scheme has proved ineffective and the proposal is to stop the scheme.

The Cabinet Member is asked to agree to stop the scheme.

This decision will now be made during February 2014 to allow more work to be done on the report.

This has now been deferred until March 2014 as further work is required on the report before the decision is taken.

This item has been withdrawn from the forward plan as an alternative report is being produced.
