Lighting on Walmgate Stray
We the undersigned petition the council to Put lighting on the footpaths through Walmgate Stray.
It is a regularly used footpath for students and members of the public at all times of the day. At night time it becomes pitch black and dangerous: there have been multiple accounts of rape and attacks. This popular footpath needs to be made safe at night, especially for students who are on campus late and use this path as their main route home - why should they have to pay for a taxi home when the problem of their safety could easy be solved by lighting their way home and preventing abusive crimes.
