Petition to see a reduction in chlorine used in water treatment
We the undersigned petition the council to discuss ways with Yorkshire Water to reduce the levels of chlorine from what can be deemed harmful at the moment to a more satisfactory level for human consumption.
Since moving to York in November 2012 and after the recent flooding, we have suffered from the increased levels of chlorine in the system, with skin ailments and rashes. This has been shown to be because of the increase in chlorine used in the treatment of the water supply.
