Minutes:
The Cabinet Member considered a report that sought approval for the City of York Council coordinated schemes and admissions policies for primary, junior and secondary schools for the 2015/16 academic year. It also sought approval of the proposed individual school planned admission numbers for the academic year beginning in September 2015.
At the request of the Cabinet Member, officers detailed the reasons for proposed increases in the admission limits for the schools listed in paragraph 13 of the report. They confirmed that school place planning was carried out on an area wide basis and took into account factors such as proposed building development.
The Cabinet Member noted the objection that had been received regarding the proposed increase at Clifton Green Primary School. Officers gave details of predicted pupil numbers in the area, including the projected numbers at neighbouring schools.
