To allocate Concessionary Days to community organisations under the
terms of the Barbican Lease:
• One in 2015 to the York Irish Association
• One in 2016 to Prima Vocal ensemble / Millegro community
choirs
Background:
Background:
The report setting out the criteria for use of the concessionary
days is attached.
An application process was run inviting applications for the
remaining free day in 2015 and the two days available in 2016. By
the closing date, two applications had been received that met the
criteria:
• York Irish Association for an Irish culture night, open to
all.
• Prima Vocal ensemble / Millegro community choirs for a high
profile event for both the local community and the city involving
our own choirs and local orchestras, but also extending invitations
to overseas guests
The former will be allocated the remaining day in 2015 and the
latter, one of the two days available in 2016.
It is proposed to run a further process in respect of the remaining
day in 2016 and the two days in 2017 in November / December this
year.
