Purpose of Report: To
amend the Empty Property Loan to take account of the outcome of the
Upper Floors in York City Centre: An opportunity - Final Report'
and the strategic aims of the new Supported Housing Strategy
2013-2018.
The Cabinet Member is asked to extend the range of the Empty
Property loans available.
Decision:
Resolved: That the proposed revisions to the Private Sector Assistance Policy, as detailed in option 1 of the report, be approved.
Reason: So that the council can help delivery partners increase the supply of supported accommodation in the city and bring long-term empty properties back in to use as decent and more sustainable private rented accommodation.
