Purpose:

Purpose of Report:  To approve a bid to the Nesta "Rethinking Parks" programme. In partnership with the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund this programme aims to support innovation that enhances the accessibility and sustainability of parks. Any bid would be submitted in February.

The Cabinet Member is asked to agree the focus of a York bid.

 

This decision will be taken by the Cabinet Member at a public decision session on Tuesday 25th February.

Resolved:  That the bid to the Nesta Rethinking Parks programme for the West Bank Park based around the community café and heritage centre project be approved.

 

Reason:     To seek funding for business planning and development work to improve facilities and community management of the park.
