Background:
A budget reduction of £230k was agreed in the Council's
budget process for 2014/15 in respect of Culture, Tourism and City
Centre.
To implement this decision whilst minimising the impact on
customers, a staffing restructure has been undertaken which will
generate savings of £160k towards the total £230k
required.
The key impact of the restructure is a reduction in the number of
management posts. The restructure will get the team in shape to
form part of the new city marketing and business development agency
agreed in principle by the Council's Cabinet in November
2013.
The new structure will be implemented from 1st June 2014.
