Purpose:

Purpose of Report: To present a report with regards to the future of Burton Stone Community Centre as a Specialist Activity Base and Community Hub. Health and Wellbeing wish to enable the creation of a vibrant community asset by enhancing the facility and ensuring current community use is developed alongside the activities which focus on delivering services for adults with a learning disability and/or autism. With a clear strategy to achieve integrated opportunities and community connections.

Members are asked to agree the proposal.

This decision will now be taken by Cabinet at their rescheduled meeting on 16 December.

 

Decision:

 

Resolved:   That Cabinet approve the continued revenue budget for the proposed procurement of a new operator for Burton Stone Community Centre to operate the Specialist Activity Base and the Facility Management function for the next 5 years, as set out at paragraph 30 of the report, option (ii).

Reason:     This scheme will enable savings from the Community Hub project as well as from Health and Wellbeing’s revenue spend.
