Purpose:

Purpose of report: The City of York Council has been operating the Scores on the Doors food hygiene scheme for over two years. Since this scheme was launched, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) have developed the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (FHRS). The FSA would like to see all local authorities adopt this scheme.

 

The Cabinet Member will be asked to approve the move to the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.

Decision:

RESOLVED:                That the Cabinet Member approved Option 17(i) and agreed to the adoption of the Food Standards Agency’s Food Hygiene Rating Scheme.
